Atty. Joaquin “Jake” Telan is distinguished litigator and legal eucator. He is one of the founding partners and is currently the senior managing partner of the Telan Cabatit Hipe Flores Law Offices, which was established in 1986. Most recently, he has also been elected president of the Association of Credit & Collection Companies which represents law firms and collection agencies throughout the country for 2014-2015

Jake, as he fondly called professional circles and the academe, he also been an esteemed legal educator for nearly 50 years. He is currently a professional lecturer in Business Law and Constitutional Law in Rizal Technological University while also serving as their appointed Chief Legal Councel. In his earliest teaching positions, Jake trained the young minds of school and college students in his hometown in Isabela, Quezon City Science, Ateneo de Manila High School and University of the East’s College of Business Administration.

Despite having grown up in a small town in Cabagan, Isabela, Jake rose to earn the entrance scholarship of UP Law Alumni Association representing its Evening Class and passed the bar in 1979 even while working part-time.
